I wish to inform you of my objection to application MCU 10/2083 for the following reasons.

I live on the opposite corner to this proposed development and the proposed entrance in Skipper
Place will cause extra congestion and delay at the roundabout, also extra traffic in this quiet
neighbourhood. A Convenience Store with extended trading hours will bring "hoons" and drunks to
the car park along with the litter thrown everywhere; e:g Mc Donalds car park, especially on
Saturday and Sunday mornings.
I live alone and Friday and Saturday nights have to put up with people screaming and fighting in the
early hours of the morning at McDonalds which is open 24 hours. Police are frequently called to
these disturbances and Mc Donalds have to employ security staff. Many of these nights I get
interrupted sleep and this proposed development will only aggravate the situation.
Some of the businesses suggested for this site are absolutely ridiculous.
Cafe, 3 different cafes were located in the previous nurseries, all closed due to lack of patronage.
Pizza shop, 3 already located in Thomas Street.
Bakery, 1 in Thomas Street, 1 on Gympie Terrace, 1 in Noosa Village shopping centre.
Liquor Outlet, Dan Murphy's, B.W.S. and Villa Noosa Hotel all located in Noosa Village area, also 1
outlet on Gympie Terrace.
There are more than enough Retail outlets in the Homemaker Centre and Noosa Village shopping
centre. It appears that little research has gone into this proposal, e:g "Evergreen" on Eumundi Road,
now a "white elephant".
This location is zoned "Attached Housing" and should remain so.
Please do not allow this development to go ahead and ruin our special neighbourhood
