The following Statement of Reasons is provided pursuant to s. 3.3.18(7) of the Integrated
Planning Act 1997

Introduction

1.

The Department of Natural Resources and Mines (NR&M) received an application
from Noosa Shire Council on 26 April 2005.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2. The application is for MCU (Concurrence) on Lot 77 SP177938 - Noosa Shire
Council.
3. A field inspection was conducted by the assessing officer on 30 September 2005.
4, An Information Request was sent by registered post to the applicant on the 21 June
2005, This request disclosed information that was adverse to the approval of the
application and requested that the applicant demonstrate how the application
complied with particular Performance Requirements described within the NR&M
Material Change of Use Policy and requested clarification of the area of land subject
to the application and identification of the elements of the proposed use.
5. The applicant responded to the Information Request on the 26 July 2005, 05 August
2005, 21 September 2005, 04 October 2005 and 05 October 2005.
6. An Assessment Report was sent to the Delegate of the Chief Executive, Peter
Lazzarini, on 28 October 2005.
7, The Delegate determined the Referral Agency Response on | November 2005.
