regional ecosystem framework.

Property Map of Assessable Vegetation (PMAV): means a map ~

a) Certified by the chief executive as the property map of assessable vegetation for a perticular

area; and
———-b)- Maintained by the department for the purpose of showing, for the.area = 2. -/

i, Category 1 areas; and
ii, Category 2 areas; and
iii. Category 3 areas; and
iv. Category 4 areas; and

¢) Showing areas subject to @ remnant map or regional ecosystem map for the area,

Relevant purposes: are

8) a project declared to be a significant project under the State Development and Public Works
Organisation Act 1971, section 26; :

b) necessary to control non-native plants or declared pests;

¢) toensure pubdlic safety;

d) for establishing a necessary fence, firebreak, road or other built infrastructure, if there is no
suitable alternative site for the fence, firebreak, road or infrastructure;

) anatural and ordinary consequence of other asscssable development for which a
development approval as defined under the Integrated Planning Act 1997 was given, or a
development application as defined under the Integrated Planning Act 1997 was made,
before 16 May 2003;

f) for fodder harvesting;

2) for thinning;

h) for clearing of encroachment;

i) for an extractive industry;

j) for clearing regrowth on leases issued under the Land Act 1994 for agriculture or grazing
purposes,

Subregions: delineate significant differences within the bioregion in landscape pattern usually
associated with geology and geomorphology or finer climatic patterns. Sub regions are
contained within a bioregion.
