Chris Smith Constructions

Dear Chris

Ba: Revetment Wall — 12.8altwater Avenue Noosa Waters,
in accordance with Council's request we have assessed the impact of the fenca constructed along the rear
of the revetment wall. Our assessment has been conducted with respect fo Council's requirement for
Revelment wall stablity and Flood storage retention.

The completed works has an aluminium pool fence built along the rear of the existing canal revetment wall.
The fence posts have been sel inte concreta pads independent from the wall,

Council's requirement is for certification that the compleled work hata’ reduced the stability of tha revetment
wall or reduced the fiood storage volume Lhat previously existed in the sear of your property.

For the stability of the revatment walis Council requires ratenca to be made to the report commissionad by
Council (GHD-Noosa Waters Investigation of Revetment Stabiity — April 2014).

‘We have considered the as-built condition of the fence against the criteria for revetment wail siabiiily and can
certify that the fence has not reduced the wails stability. Nor has it reduced the canals flood storage or
impacted any waterproofing membranes that might exist at the rear of the wail.

SCG Consulting Engineers can therefore certify the following facts: -

* The completed fence has not reduced the existing canal revetment wall stability

= The completed fence has not reduced the flood storage volume available at the rear of the
allotment

‘This letter should be issued to your cartier such that ii con form a reply to Council's information request.
1 you hava any further questions, please don’ hesitate to contact the undersigned.
Yours faithfully
