5.    Site hydrology
A drainage path appears to have originally traversed the site as indicated in the Pinaroo Park
Bushland Reserve Ecological Restoration Plan (Map’s 1 and 2 Pg.6/7). An extract from these maps
is shown below in Figure 7 for reference.

Council engaged Switchback Consulting Environmental and Civil Engineers to provide an overview
of site hydrology/hydrogeology. A copy of the overview is provided as Attachment 2. The report
identifies the lower corner of the site has the potential to have a secondary flowpath in significant
rain events, particularly given the stormwater infrastructure in Toulambi Street is not to current
standards and in poor condition. However, the watercourse identified in Figure 7 above was not
observed onsite nor were any springs. Switchback Consulting identifies the headwaters of the
Pinaroo Park ‘waterway’ at the discharge point located to the north east of the lot, behind No. 28
Toulambi Street. Figure 8 below shows the qualitative potential secondary flowpath and
headwaters of the ‘watercourse’. The watercourse has likely been modified as part of the road
works for the original subdivision.
