To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to oppose the proposed development of the resort complex with 195 rooms on this site. We are fighting to save precious koala and bird habitat in this shire and development of these precious green areas do not align with this.

What is the point of having programs that promote us as a "green" area, biosphere etc when we keep allowing this to be destroyed. Having tree planting programs in place does not solve the issue as it takes years for them to grow to the size of the ones we knock down.

We also are now overrun with tourists year round which has an impact on all residents. More accommodation, more tourists, more traffic and parking woes, less of what people come here for.

The other item that needs to be addressed by council is the approval of building design. Where are the designs that blend with the environment? So many of the current designs look like "detention centres".

Please start protecting our beautuful environment, fauna and flora before it's too late.

yours sincerely,
Merran Spring
