Visual Assessment Report
0B1B2BNoosa Boat Shed
The photomontages from both downstream and upstream viewpoints (Figures 4-7 and 4-10) illustrate that the
darker colours of the buildings and timber finishes helps to both modernise the building as well as to recede
the building from view compared to the existing boatshed, when viewed from the River. The quality of the view
from these locations will be improved by the proposed modifications to the boatshed and patrol building.
4.1.4 Views from Russell Park (VP4) and Munna Beach (VP5)
From both Russell Park and Munna Beach, the pre-2017 and the existing part-built (2018) view of the boat
shed is visible through and between foreshore vegetation (Figures 4-11-12 and 4-14-15). The existing part-
built boatshed is taller than the earlier brick building, but appears a similar height to the pre-2017 boatshed
behind, due to intervening foreshore vegetation which frames this view. The pale metal sheeting of the existing
shed is stark as seen from this view.
