In addition to the above-mentioned completed projects, delivery of the 2017/18 road reseal
program of approximately $3m was completed across both coastal and hinterland sealed road
networks.

Noosaville – Weyba Road Upgrade – Completed




5.   Summary
The current capital delivery expenditure to 30 June 2018 is $25.8m, or 83% of the capital
program. The final financial processing of invoices for goods received and works undertaken for
the 2017/18 program is still in progress with an estimated value of $2m of invoices yet to be
recognised for 2017/18 year. This is anticipated to improve the year to date actuals to $27.8m or
90% of the $30.9m budget for the 2017/18 financial year.
It is important to note that there are $16.8m in outstanding commitments. This amount not only
reflects those projects that are delivered, but also new contracts awarded for 2018/19 works that
are yet to commence. A review of these commitments identifies an estimated $3.8m outstanding
commitments related to the 2017/18 year with the remaining $13.8m related to projects being
delivered in the 2018/19 financial year.
The outcome of the 2017/18 capital works program will be reported to Council in the first budget
review of 2018/19 financial year and will confirm the significant achievement of delivering the
largest capital works program to date for Noosa Council.
