               1. Introduction

                   1.1 Scope

              Novel Ecological has been commissioned to prepare an Ecological Restoration Plan (ERP) for the
              rehabilitation area on the eastern edge of Lot 12 SP 129692, at 1 Weemilah Court, Cooran. The
              ERP outlines agreed management objectives for the rehabilitation area in accordance with Noosa
              Council’s Negotiated Decision Notice DBW24/0041, dated 12th September 2024 (the Decision
              Notice). The Rehabilitation Plan will be submitted to Council for endorsement as part of an
              Operational Works application.

                   1.2 Objective of the ERP
              The specific management objectives of the ERP are:

                  i.    To outline the minimum standards for weed control, revegetation, maintenance and
                        monitoring of the Rehabilitation Area as required to achieve compliance with the conditions
                        of the Decision Notice, including:
                        ▪ Removal of any Prohibited or Restricted invasive plants listed under the Queensland
                            Biosecurity Act 2014 Schedule 1, part 3 and Schedule 2
                        ▪ Removal of all weed species listed in Noosa Council’s Planning Scheme Policy 3 -
                            Landscaping (PSP03)
                        ▪ Removal of non-scheduled invasive species listed in the Noosa Council Biosecurity
                            Plan 2020
                 ii.    To reinstate a vegetation community that contains native canopy and understorey species
                        typical of the pre-clear regional ecosystem.
                iii.    To ensure rehabilitation measures comply with relevant legislation and meet the standards
                        expected by Noosa Council and the community.

                   1.3 Legislative Requirements

              The following Queensland legislation and local planning instruments were reviewed during the
              preparation of this ERP:
