AnimalHusbandry Type 2 Intensive
Anthony McLelland ~~~--
642 BelliCk Road Black Mountain 4563
23rd June 2014
IT ony Mclelland make the followingsubmission.
The change of use to animal husbandry type 2 intensive causes a number of concerns.
II1000 thousands ?birds, more cattle ,more pigs willincrease animal waste.
As the slopes are very steep the highlevels of animal waste willend up in water courses.
This willincrease pollutionlevels in the Noosa River Catchment.
Higher number of pigs in steep slopes willresult in erosion.
2/ There is no control over where the 1000 birds are located on the site.
1000 Birds could be located in one tractor caravan whichwillcreate noise and odour
pollution.
Chickens are noisy when pestered by Hawks,Dingos,WildDogs and fox allin highnumbers
in this area and knowing that there are 1000 birds activity willincrease.
If this is approved there must be clause made that as the proposed is for four sites a
maximumnumber of 250 birds should be allowedin each caravan tractor.
This willalso reduce levelof waste and pollution.
3/ Weare currently planing to builda new house on a site below the round yard and this is
withinthe [00 meter limit.
Wepropose that the use on the slope nearest and facing our property not be used for
chicken and pigfree range use.
