Flood Emergency Management Plan February 2024

8 CONCLUSION
This plan was prepared to assess the potential flood hazard of the site (111 Lake Weyba Drive, Noosaville). It
provides access routes, identifies available warning systems and provides response procedures. Whilst the lots
are designed to ensure all habitable floor levels are above the PMF, access to the site is unavailable for events
greater than the 1% AEP current day event. The likely inundation duration is greater than 24 hours. An
evacuation strategy is therefore recommended to minimise the risk to life of residents, the community and
emergency responders.

Flood levels, triggers and timings in this report are based on flood predictions by others. The accuracy of this
plan is dependent upon the accuracy of this information. Further, inundation maps are based on simulated
storms – actual observed inundation may vary from those predicted herein.

Links contained within this publication are correct at the time of release.

Whilst the implementation of the Plan remains the responsibility of the Body Corporate Flood Warden, to ensure
all residents of the development are aware of the Emergency Action Plan and general flood emergency
management approach, a copy of this Flood Emergency Management Plan will be provided to residents. It is
the responsibility of the Body Corporate to undertake the distribution of the FEMP.

This FEMP should be reviewed and updated in line with needs and in response to actual flood events if necessary.
The FEMP should be reviewed every five years, or immediately after a flood activation to ensure that responses
remain effective and relevant. It is the responsibility of the body corporate to be fully aware of the FEMP
procedures.
