6.2 Southeast Queensland Regional Plan
Under the SEQRP the land is included in the Urban Footprint (Figure 3). The proposed
development is for an urban purpose and consequently entirely consistent with the
SEQRP.
6.3 State Planning Policy
The Noosa Plan 2006 predates the commencement of the State Planning Policy (SPP),
therefore an assessment is required against the interim development assessment
provisions under Part E of the SPP.
Figure 4 – SPP Mapping
Under the SPP mapping the subject land has the following designations:
• Water Quality – Climatic regions – stormwater management objectives;
• Natural Hazards Risk and Resilience – Flood Hazard area – Level 1 Local
Government mapping area; and
• Strategic Airports and Aviation Facilities – Obstacle Limitation Surface.
Under the interim development assessment provisions, the following parts are relevant:
State interest – water quality for receiving waters:
• The subject land is greater than 2,500m², which could involve an impervious area
greater than 25% of the net developable area;
• A Concept Stormwater Drainage Plan has been provided (Attachment 3E), which
includes the treatment of stormwater drainage leaving the site and is to be finalised
with a further development approval for operational work;
