Council may not be aware that we are the only premises in Tingira Crescent with a pool
located at the front of the building, i.e. on the Eastern boundary. With the current set back
of the existing fence and its close proximity to the pool, we often get local youths climbing
the wall and jumping into the pool which is a dangerous practice. This reckless behaviour for
which we could be held responsible for a serious injury or loss of life, will be negated with
the new fencing which will prevent this unlawful and dangerous practice.

 We have five owners whose children and
 grandchildren use the pool throughout the
 warmer months. It is not unusual to have
 two or more families trying to enjoy the
 pool at the same time.
 As the pool is now, there is no area for the
 children to sit if they need time out from
 the pool, let alone any room for adults to
 comfortably sit, relax and watch the
 children in the pool.
 The photo opposite shows the lack of space
 and why we need the wall to be moved to
 the Eastern property boundary.
Safety of the children in and around the pool is a priority and everyone wants to enjoy this
area without confinement.
