Annex 11 - Code 11 - Marine Plants
Attached to the e-mail DA Application - Noosa Oyster Project (2 of 3).
Performance outcomes Acceptable outcomes Response
level of restoration has been reached as determined
1. dredging to maintain access
by ecological monitoring against restoration
2. trimming of marine plants benchmarks.
3. warning signs or protective structures.
The works will require monitoring and maintenance
initially, in particular top-up and reprofiling in response
to expected settlement to ensure the restoration
structure remains within a desirable depth range for
the target species. Once ecological benchmarks are
met (within the permit period), the structures will be
considered ‘restored’ and be left to mature naturally.
Further,
(1) The works will not require dredging to
maintain access or create problems
requiring dredging to maintain access to
adjacent areas/facilities.
(2) The works will not require trimming of
marine plants.
(3) Required navigation aids with signage will
be installed at MSQ direction as part of
the proposed works and are expected to
be removed at the end of the permit
period, or as directed. Navigation aids will
not impact on tidal fish habitats or marine
plant communities and will be positioned
or configured to avoid the risk of trimming
of marine plants e.g. mangroves.

For any other development, no acceptable outcome is
prescribed.
