The purpose of the management plan is to ensure the current infiltration system designed for the site is
adequate to contain flows generated by the proposed development.
Calculations using the Insite Water modelling program provides the critical storm duration as 10 minutes and
a time of concentration for the site to the outlet as 5 minutes. (Refer Appendix A).
Previous approvals with Noosa Council indicate that any development requiring infiltration systems need to
demonstrate that all but the most extreme rainfall events would be infiltrated and that any infiltration tanks
are to be sized to cater for all design events up to and including the 1% AEP (1 in 100-year ARI design event).
Based on the post-development impervious fraction the site was calculated to have a peak flow for a 1% AEP
design storm event as 0.05 m3/s.
