MCU12/0184 Concerns about development approval Kelly Chapple
Subject: nzw BCS 1192 MCU12.0184 Notice of Submission Kelly Chapple - FYI Councillors From: Kelly Chapple Date: 2013-12-06T23:38:35+00:00 To: Internet Mailbox Sunshine Coast Regional Council To all Councillors, Having previously lived in Old Ceylon Road my husband and I support Rod Richie and the residents in this region in their objection to the Chicken Farm on Top Forestry Road. All of the following reasons stated by Mr Ritchie, water pollution, minimal economic benefits, noise, odour, dust and property values are valid objections. More importantly is the daily danger to the students and residents who use Top Forestry Road and Old Ceylon Road. As a resident of Old Ceylon Road my husband and I travelled daily into Cooroy along Old Ceylon Road passing Top Forestry Road. If the council looks into their records in early 2000 they would find an appeal by the then residents to widen Top Forestry Road. Residents along the route and parents of students who travel on the school bus to Cooroy Primary and Noosa District High School witnessed daily incidents of buses and cars travelling along the narrow and winding road. Eventually only minor improvements were made to the road. If the Chicken Farm is allowed to go ahead it is inevitable that incidents will occur; some may well be serious. Prior to formal voting on this issue I request that each councillor personally checks the conditions on this road. Consequently, each councillor will have to live with their decision. Say No to the Cooroy Broiler Farm. Sincerely Kelly Chapple 11 Templeton Way Doonan
