SERVICES & ORGANISATION COMMITTEE MEETING REPORT 8 FEBRUARY 2022
• Actual revenue has exceeded budget
due to conservative Covid-19 revenue
assumptions and strong operations.
• Actual operating expenses exceeded
the budget, primarily due to variable
operating costs and adjustment to the
operating and maintenance
expenditure required for the new
infrastructure commissioned in
January 2020.
1. Covid-19 Safe Operations
Covid-safe operation of the parks continues to remain a focus in line with Council’s commitment
and to ensuring that the operational, guest and staff environment at each park is Covid-safe. All
reasonable control measures are actioned and implemented with adherence and compliance with
Queensland Health directives.
2. Park Occupancy Performance
Figure 1. Occupancy (%)
Figure 1 shows that financial year 21/22 occupancy levels at Noosa River are trending to pre-Covid
levels, whilst the elevated occupancy levels achieved at Boreen Point and Noosa North Shore
reflect the result of marketing, strong operational systems and increasing popularity of these parks
within the caravanning and camping sector, particularly noting the unique nature-based
experiential offering for guests.
