Good morning ..
I am a long time Cooroy resident .
My address is 1 Browns Drive, Cooroy .
I am writing in support of the proposed Cooroy Car Wash .
I feel that this will be a great asset to the community for various reasons .
The fact that a lot of residents here have multiple vehicles including horse floats,caravans and RV's and are predominantly relying on tank water is the first obvious point .
Washing cars in driveways and on lawns only serves to put oil etc eventually into our waterways .
Beach goers often need to wash their cars to prevent damage from salt water especially when they have craft being carried on roof racks.
The option to travel to the next closest car wash is Noosa which can be time consuming and cumbersome .
Many people who have been up at the North Shore drop into the adjoining petrol stations .. so the car wash would enhance money coming into our community if they were to purchase a car wash and maybe food/drinks from the car wash .. as it will also create employment for locals .
The location is ideal as vehicles would not need to travel directly through town which can get quite congested at times .  This along with other facilities available in the vicinity would further boost the economy .
I believe other  industrial/commercial land is not readily available .
So all in all I support wholeheartedly the proposal and will definately welcome its arrival .
