TODS Stormwater Comments - TODs
It is noted that this pipe does not appear on Councils mapping and on closer inspection of the area and the pipe it is concluded that it is not connected to any drainage pits on David Low Way or west of the road. In addition, the road embankment does not contain any swale drain or berm directing run off from the road towards the inlet structure. The small amount of stormwater runoff from David Low Way sheet flows down the embankment and across the properties below the road, and from our inspection it is evident that there has been no water flowing into the pipe for a substantial period of time. As such it is concluded that the pipe that traverses 4 Tristania Drive is no longer in service and has been made redundant due to past upgrades to David Low Way. It is therefore recommended that the pipe be removed and the section of pipe between footpath area of Tristania Drive and the manhole be plugged with concrete to avoid ripping up the road pavement. 3. Conclusion We believe that this report demonstrates that the existing stormwater pipe located within the property at 4 Tristania Drive, Marcus Beach is redundant infrastructure and can be removed from the property. As such we seek Councils support for this action. Prepared by Doug Reynolds, Director (RPEQ 9072) 07 5449 9600 | [email protected] TOD consulting engineers Page 3 of 3 Tod Job Number: 17656
