Description            FMU8 covers the whole the eastern area of the property and is bounded
                       by Tidswell Road along its northern/Western boundary, Eumarella Road
                       along its southern boundary, and a firebreak and residential properties of
                       paradise Drive, Weyba Downs (within the Sunshine Coast Regional
                       Council local government area).

                       The Unit contains no buildings or other infrastructure but does contain an
                       internal fire trail, FT6 and a firebreak (FB1) along its eastern extent.
Access to FMU           From Tidswell Road and FT6.
                        From Eumarella Road along its southern boundary and from FB1 via
                           located gates along the Unit’s eastern boundary.

Water sources              Fire hydrants on Eumarella Road within Weyba Downs

Vegetation                 12.3.5 - Melaleuca quinquenervia open forest on coastal alluvium,
communities                 (Vegetation Hazard Class (VHC) 22.1 Melaleuca open forests on
                            seasonally inundated lowland coastal swamps, and
                           12.5.3 - Eucalyptus racemosa subsp. racemosa woodland on remnant
                            Tertiary surfaces, (VHC 9.1 Moist to dry eucalypt open forests on
                            coastal lowlands and ranges)
                           12.5.9 - Sedgeland to heathland in low lying areas on complex of
                            remnant Tertiary surface and Tertiary sedimentary rocks (VHC 29.5
                            Sedgeland communities associated with heathlands, scrubs and
                            shrublands).

Management             a)    Manage fuel loads within the FMU to ensure minimal impacts of the
objectives                   Unit’s biodiversity values
                       b)    Maintain FT6 in an operational condition.
                       c)    Maintain FB1 to ensure all buildings are protected from bushfire
                             attack. The firebreak should be a minimum of 20 metres wide.
