The proposed entertainment and dining area (Brew Café) occupies about 130m², and comprises
inside dinning, an outdoor terrace area and toilets, with a kitchen, servery and bar area being a
further 55m². The industrial component (Brewery) occupies about 185m² at ground level and
about 135m² at the mezzanine level which provides for an office, boardroom, storage and toilets.
The upstairs boardroom area forms part of the Brewery for office purposes and is not proposed
to be utilised as part of the Brew Café. The total use area for the development is about 505m²
(including the new outdoor terrace area on the western side which occupies about 55m²). The
overall area of this outdoor terrace is about 55m² with the corner of the site to Project Avenue
and Venture Drive to be landscaped.
It is understood that 2 staff are required for Brewery production and 2 staff will be employed for
the administration and sales component initially though this may increase subject to production.
A further 6 additional staff will be employed for the operation of the bar and kitchen area
associated with the Brew Café. An extract of the proposal plans is provided as Figure 1, below.
