Dear Sir/Madam
Information Request
Planning Act 2016
I refer to your application and advise that Council requires further information to satisfactorily assess the proposal.
application details
Application No.	MCU21/0106
Street Address:	Noosaville Central 3/11 Gibson Rd Noosaville Qld 4566
Real Property Description:	BUP 105546, Lot 3 BUP 105546
Planning Scheme:	Noosa Plan 2020 (25 September 2020)
INFORMATION REQUIRED
The information requested is set out below:
Issue
The proposed use has provided the hours of operation in accordance with PO9 of the Recreation Activities Code.
The proposed use is to occur within an existing commercial building that contains a shared wall with adjoining tenants. It is envisaged that the operation of the fitness activity will result in the emission of noise. It is unclear as to what equipment and noise mitigation devices are to be utilised.
To ensure that the use will not have any negative impacts on the amenity of the surrounding area and sensitive land uses, the applicant will need to provide an acoustic report containing the noise mitigation and noise management protocols.
Information Required
Detail of noise generating equipment to be used in conjunction with the gym and how the use of this equipment is to be managed to prevent nuisance to the amenity of the area. (e.g. amplified music and instructors with microphones).

Provide an acoustic report from a suitably qualified person, verifying that the expected noise during the hours of operation will not have any negative impacts on the surrounding area. This may include any recommendations of management protocols to mitigate noise.
Issue
The Noosa Plan 2020 prescribes a requirement for 15 car park spaces for the proposed use. Only 27 shared carparks are provided to 4 tenants on the site. The application material indicates that the proposed use will utilise particular hours of operation to avoid most of the traffic associated with the other tenancies on the property. A detailed Traffic Impact Assessment Report will need to be provided to Council detailing that there will not be any parking impacts from the development.
Information Required
Provide a Traffic Impact Assessment Report, and any other relevant data, demonstrating that the amount of carparking on site is sufficient for the expected number of patrons present on the site during the hours of operation, in correlation with the other businesses on site.

The due date for providing the requested information is 14 October 2021
