 SERVICE AREA – CANALS AND WATERWAYS

 Summary

Objective: Conservation and maintenance of canals, foreshores of natural waterways, and related marine infrastructure.

Activities: The activities include maintaining support for revetment walls within canals and at natural waterways through
sand dredging or rock placement, maintaining groynes or revetment walls protecting public land, maintenance and
operations of the Noosa Waters Lock & Weir, and public marine facilities (jetties, pontoons, boat ramps) as well as
responding to environmental incidents.
