5.3      Proposed Offset Plan

Council is proposing a Rehabilitation Offset Plan in accordance with the Environmental Offsets
Act 2014. Council will need to enter into an agreed delivery arrangement to deliver this
environmental offset. The Council proposed offset area is shown in Figure 11.

Generally the plan will include:
    •    Establishment of an offset area to offset impacts to RE12.3.13 and 12.5.3
    •    Ensure species selection is determined to re-establish RE12.3.13 and 12.5.3.
    •    Establish an offset for the loss of koala habitat trees at a ratio of 3:1.
    •    Ensure koala habitat trees are used in offset planting works to achieve replacement of
         loss of koala habitat trees at a ratio of 3:1.
    •    To remove environmental weeds and restricted invasive plants (RIP) as listed in the
         Biosecurity Regulation 2016.
