Appendix I - Bushfire Hazard Report
20 outlined above, the site will be considered a LOW Bushfire Hazard Area with the waterway corridor being a MEDIUM Bushfire Hazard Area. 4.8 Qualitative Review S5 Environmental investigated any known bushfire behaviour. No formal information regarding past bushfire activity was available. In addition, enquiries were made with the Department of National Parks, Sport and Racing (NPSR) regarding bushfire management on the adjoining Tewantin National Park and Yurol State Forest (to the north and east, respectively). To date, no information has been received from NPSR. However, it is understood that NPSR actively manages the bushfire risk on all National Park land and, therefore, the bushfire risk associated with the adjacent National Parks to the north and east is assumed to be low.
