Thank-you for your email of 8.04.22 regarding this application.

In this application, | am requesting approval to extend an existing ensuite on to an adjacent verandah
(Refer to attached plans). This extension of ensuite will be under an existing roofline.

| understand that this will constitute an increase in gross floor area. The extra floor area required for this
extension is 2m x 2.53m = 5.06sqm. | also understand that the floor area of an internal staircase, which
was included in GFA calculations in 1992 (original development approval), is no longer included in
current GFA calculations. The floor area of the existing internal staircase is 3.8sqm, therefore once this is
offset against the extra 5.06sqm for the ensuite extension, the nett extra floor area required is only
1.26sq.
