RECOMMENDATION
That Council note the report by the Manager Community Facilities to the Infrastructure &
Services Committee Meeting dated 22 July 2014 and agree to rebranding the Noosa Day Respite
Centre, Home and Community Care (HACC) and Home Assist Secure (HAS) services, under the
name Noosa Community Care.

REPORT
The purpose of this report is to provide background on the services provided by Noosa Day
Respite Centre, inform Council of future changes to the funding model, and recommend an
overall rebranding of the service.

1. Service Background

The Noosa Day Respite Centre was established in 1992 and funded with the sole purpose of
supplying Day Respite to eligible residents within the Noosa Shire. Like many services provided
by Council, the Respite Centre provided a service where there was a gap in the community at the
time.

Over the years the services provided by the Centre have expanded and there are now 12
different community care services provided.

The breakdowns of these services are:

Service Hours/ financial year No. of clients
