INFRASTRUCTURE & SERVICES COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA                                  22 JULY 2014


The types of services provided by community care organisations vary depending on the needs of
the community. The services Council has available cover the majority of services within the
community care industry.

The business name Noosa Community Care has been registered under Noosa Council in
preparation for the rebranding. It was important to secure the business name in advance to
ensure its availability should Council approve the recommendations within this report. The initial
registration is for a period of one year only.

It is also anticipated that a website will be required in the future in order to compete under the
new funding model, and to better inform the community of the services available to them via
Noosa Community Care. Liaising with ICT, the following domain names have been registered:

 www.noosacommunitycare.com.au
 www.noosacommunitycare.org.au
 www.noosacommunitycare.net.au

A three year Business Plan will be developed over the next 12 months to coincide with the
funding model changes.

Nil.


Finance & Risk

Under the future funding model there is a risk of reduced income for the service if adequate
planning and marketing is not established.

The initial costs of rebranding the service (brochures, stationary and signage) are estimated to be
approximately $3,000 and this can be funded within the current budget. Further rebranding (such
as logo and website development) will occur at a later stage in line with the Business Planning
process.

Internal Consultation

Governance Project Officer assisted with the registration of business name Noosa Community
Care through ASIC.

ICT Manager has registered three domain names to ensure their availability in the future.
