Subject: 2106-23234 SRA - recommendation to stop the current period to amendplans
Hi Will
Thank you for advising yesterday that you are looking to amend the plan of development to remove the secondary
dwelling and co-locate the shed with the primary dwelling. I understand this is in response to SARA advising you that the
Resources assessment has identified that the development will results in quite a large significant residual impact on
matters of state environmental significance, which would require to be offset.
As you are amending the plan, I recommend you initiate a stop to the current period (referral agency assessment
period) to allow time to provide that plan to SARA and time for SARA to consider the new plan. SARA’s current due date
is 10 August and so there probably isn’t sufficient time for SARA to consider a new plan and provide a response. As I
suggested, if the plan demonstrates the development is ‘prescribed clearing’ then the referral for the clearing native
vegetation wouldn’t be required but we would still need to finalise a response about interfering with koala habitat.
Regards
