Application No. 132008.176.05<tel:132008.176.05> 3 and 7 Serenity Close, Noosa Heads Resort Complex and Shop. Please find below my grounds of support for the above mentioned application following my review of all application material online, including the new information provided after information request. * The suggested changes to the application offer a better way to enhance the current approval for the site. * This is done by aligning the development with the guidelines of the Noosa Plan, which includes the goals for a resort on the property in the tourist accommodation area. * The proposed development won't extend into important natural areas or conservation zones. * There will be increased distance from Serenity Close along with preserving more significant plant life. Access will mainly be from Banksia Ave, rather than Serenity Close. * There has been already large areas committed to conservation and environment within the entire Settlers Cove area and the clearing required for this development meets the intent of the previous koala offset arrangements. * The design of the buildings will incorporate important Noosa design elements, like using different construction materials, making use of natural light and air flow, spacing out the buildings to make them look less massive, and adding lightweight awnings and well-designed roofs. * Economic opportunities during construction and operationally will provide a benefit to large sectors of the Noosa Shire Community.
