2.3.3 DEHP Environmental Mapping
2.3.3.1 Regulated Vegetation Management and RE Mapping
The current regulated vegetation management map of the subject site includes both
Category B (remnant vegetation) and Category X (vegetation not regulated under the
VMA) areas. Category B areas cover the majority of the subject site (1.63 ha). The
Regional Ecosystem (RE) mapping identifies the Category B regulated vegetation as the
following REs (FIGURE 5):

       RE 12.2.1 (Of Concern) - Notophyll vine forest on parabolic high dunes; and
       RE 12.2.5 (Least Concern) - Corymbia intermedia, Lophostemon confertus,
        Banksia spp., Callitris columellaris open forest to low closed forest on beach
        ridges.

Additionally, a small area (0.17 ha) of Category X vegetation (non-remnant) occurs in the
southern portion of the subject site. Other features include a watercourse present along
the eastern boundary.


2.3.3.2 Essential Habitat Mapping
Essential Habitat for wallum rocket frog (Litoria freycineti) and the wallum froglet
(Crinia tinnula) is mapped on-site concurrent with Of Concern RE 12.2.5 (FIGURE 5).


2.3.3.3 Referable Wetlands Mapping
Referable Wetlands mapping shows no Referable Wetlands or Wetland Protection Areas
on or near the subject site.


2.3.3.4 SPRP and SPP Koala Habitat Mapping
The site is outside the SPRP mapping area. SPP mapping shows the area as generally not
suitable habitat for koalas (FIGURE 6).


2.3.3.5 Coastal Hazard Mapping
The site is outside the Coastal Management District. The subject site is not included in
the Indicative Erosion Prone Area or the Storm Tide Inundation Area.
