APPENDIX 2 lists the threatened flora species that are known or considered to possibly
occur in the locality and notes the likelihood of occurrence of each species within the
subject area.


3.3.3 Site Fauna Survey
3.3.3.1 Introduction
This section provides details of the fauna species and associated habitats recorded on the
site during the fauna survey carried out by James Warren & Associates in November 2003
(refer to James Warren & Associates, 2004).


3.3.3.2 Amphibians
A total of five (5) species of amphibians were recorded during the survey period (TABLE
5). One species, the Cane toad, is introduced and is very abundant across the site. Native
species found are listed as ‘common’ under the Commonwealth EPBC Act 1999 and the
NCWR 2006.

No threatened amphibian species were recorded.

The quality of habitat for amphibians is generally influenced by the hydrological
characteristics of water bodies, riparian vegetation, water quality and climate (Lemckert
and Penman 2012). The subject site contains a range of suitable habitat for frogs,
including a vegetated drainage line.


3.3.3.3 Reptiles
A total of eight (8) species of reptile were recorded during the survey period (TABLE 6).
All species are listed as ‘common’ under the under the NCWR 2006 and the EPBC Act
1999.
