6.4.2.2 Regulated Vegetation Management Mapping
Regulated Vegetation Management mapping (FIGURE 5) shows vegetation communities 1
and 2 as Regulated Vegetation. According to DEHP mapping 0.54 ha of Regulated
Vegetation will be cleared for this development.

Appropriate sediment control and water quality monitoring are recommended to
minimise impacts associated with the development on the Regulated Vegetation
associated with a watercourse.


6.4.2.3 Regional Ecosystems
Regional Ecosystem (RE) mapping shows two (2) REs occurring on the subject site (FIGURE
5):

      RE 12.2.1 (Of Concern) - Notophyll vine forest on parabolic high dunes; and
      RE 12.2.5 (Least Concern) - Corymbia intermedia, Lophostemon confertus,
       Banksia spp., Callitris columellaris open forest to low closed forest on beach
       ridges.

A total of 0.51 ha of confirmed remnant vegetation will be impacted by the proposed
development (FIGURE 10). To mitigate this impact, rehabilitation works will be
undertaken in order to improve the quality of retained vegetation and enhance current
fauna habitat and corridor values.

Appropriate sediment control and water quality monitoring are also recommended to
minimise impacts associated with the development on RE 12.3.5.


6.4.2.4 Essential Habitat
Essential Habitat for wallum rocket frog (Litoria freycineti) and the wallum froglet
(Crinia tinnula) is mapped on-site concurrent with Of Concern RE 12.2.5 (FIGURE 5).
Development within the subject site will therefore need to meet Essential Habitat
performance requirements by adopting the relevant acceptable solution in Module 8
Table 8.1.3, or by providing another solution that meets the performance requirement.
However, it is considered that the vegetation on site is not suitable habitat for these
species, which require a wallum environment.


6.4.2.5 Referable Wetlands
Referable Wetlands mapping shows no Referable Wetlands or Wetland Protection Areas
on or near the subject site.
