3. Details of Submission
I (We), make the following submission:
I object to the proposed development on the following grounds:
1) Traffic and Parking. The proposed development has insufficient car parking for the
residential and conference components (eg four bedroom units with two car parks each,
and far less than forty parks for conference participants). Residents and visitors will
park on adjacent roads and car parks exacerbating an existing shortage of parking.
Access is proposed via the road leading to the Peregian Village shops, and the
hardware store. This road is relatively narrow to cope with turning vehicles, is
congested at busy times, and when queues form to join David Low Way it is
'gridlocked'. The additional residential and visitor traffic to the proposed development is
unacceptable
(if necessary, use separate sheet of paper and attach)
2) Site Use:The development proposed is very high density with minimal setbacks. It is
inconsistent with the existing Noosa planning ordinances by providing permanent
accommodation.
