File no 033997TR Unit 3 287 Gympie terrace Noosaville Qld 4560 Material change of use Maryke and Henry Boegheim 6 Commodore Drive Birkdale 4159 We would like to make the following submission regarding this development proposal; We have been coming to Noosaville with our children and now our Grandchildren for more than 50 years. Our children have continued to come with their children. Last year we purchased a Unit at the Munna Beach resort unit 42 so our children and grandchildren could continue to enjoy the tranquil and family friendly atmosphere of Noosaville which they have all enjoyed for many years. Our unit is opposite the roundabout and the proposed redevelopment Whilst I have no problem it been a restaurant like the other restaurants on Gympie terrace We strongly oppose and ask the Noosa council to refuse the request for the extended trading hour for the following reasons; Noosaville clientele is mainly family and baby boomers who just love the quiet family relaxed atmosphere and the restaurants on Gympie terrace many people walk to the restaurants Having premises open till 12 pm with music attracts a different clientele who would be rowdy when they leave due to alcohol as well as the music. Sound travels and is amplified at night especially when it is quiet elsewhere in the area. It is impossible to keep sound from travelling unless they will be required to close all doors and windows even then you would still hear it. That is not their plan; they want to be able to use and amplify music to the large outdoor area. the indoor area is too small to make it viable. There is not enough parking on the premises so there would be even more demand on Gympie terrace resulting in illegal parking in the resorts. You would open the floodgates as restaurants in the area would want the same rights This would lead to a whole change of clientele in Noosaville and many families and Baby Boomers would stop coming to Noosaville as a result and holiday elsewhere. There would be a big economic downturn in the cost of units plus owners not been able to rent out their premises. Especially in the vicinity of the restaurant/bar. This is not a request for a restaurant it is a request for a BAR with MUSIC in disguise otherwise why would you need to open till 12pm. every other restaurant in the area has finished serving dinner by 9pm. Gympie terrace is the wrong place for such premises;
