6.4 Fauna
i. The provision of relevant hydrological information on the impacts to surface water
and groundwater within the potential Impact area will allow determinations of the
impact on EVNT fauna species specifically:
o Swamp Crayfish which has confirmed breeding habitat in the Impact Area.
o Wallum Froglet and Wallum Rocketfrog which have mapped breeding habitat
                  present in the Impact Area.
ii. If the further investigations of site hydrology indicate that potential impacts to the
breeding habitat of EVNT-listed fauna occurring in the Impact Area cannot be
avoided, a DES-approved Species Management Plan will be required under the
Queensland Nature Conservation (Wildlife Management) Regulation 2006.
iii. Clearing in the southern section of the Landfill Expansion area will result in the loss
of approximately 0.275 ha of Koala habitat that is within a mapped Koala Priority
             Area (KPA).
iv. If works cannot avoid clearing of large hollow bearing Scribbly Gums a determination
of the presence of colonial breeding microbats and other least concern arboreal
             fauna species will be required.
v. If impacts to roosting microbats cannot be avoided then a DES approved SMP for
             these species will be required.

6.5 Invasive species
i. Regular and ongoing management and monitoring of invasive plant species along
landfill edges should be undertaken. Slashing of Singapore Daisy should be
discontinued, and spraying should be conducted during dry periods and outside of
             amphibian breeding season.
ii. Clearing for boreholes should be limited and strict machinery hygiene protocols
enforced to prevent further undesirable spread of invasive species into adjacent
remnant ecosystems. Drilling using a hand auger will minimise access issues and
             potential clearing required.

6.6 Matters of State Environmental Significance
A determination of the impacts on Matters of State Environmental Significance for the
following prescribed environmental matters may be required:

       i. Regulated Vegetation:
 Clearing of 0.170 ha of mapped Endangered RE 12.5.3 may require a SRI
                assessment.
 Groundwater drainage and surface runoff discharge into the Endangered RE
12.5.3 ecosystems may require an SRI assessment.
       ii. Protected Wildlife Habitat:
 Changes to surface water quantity and/or quality discharged into adjacent
ecosystems may impact Swamp Crayfish breeding habitat and mapped
breeding habitat for Wallum Frogs and may require a SRI assessment.
 Clearing of Koala habitat may require a SRI assessment.
