E XECUTIVE S UMMARY
This Arboricultural Impact Assessment report is in response to Noosa Council’s Information
Request dated 15 June 2022. Further Advice is sought in relation to the existing trees within
the council road reserve of 37 Bottlebrush Avenue, in front of the proposed development.
Protection and retention information is provided on the nominated street trees located within
the Council verge that are to be incorporated into the project design in a manner that preserves
the trees in a suitable condition for retention. The focus is on trees on the bend with Berrima
Row and Bottlebrush Avenue where the least intrusion is expected.
The mature Bribie Island Pine is the most significant tree and should be retained and
protected. The requirement / design of any formal kerb and channel design has been removed
in sympathy with the tree to ensure its preservation for the future.
As part of the Bottlebrush Avenue frontage redesign and driveway access creation, the
vegetation between the boundary wall and the existing timber retaining wall located on the
council verge require removal. The road reserve will become a relandscaped slope. These
trees have reached their growth and amenity potential for location and their low retention value
does not warrant a major redesign as they are not considered worthy of special measures to
ensure their retention.
Tree protection measures are provided to be adhered to during the development works. The
Council verge is not intended to be altered during the build with minimal conflict anticipated to
the subject trees.
