3.	Details of Submission
I (We), make the following submission:
Noosa has always been a tranquil place without major developments. However, the place that locals love is being turned upside down and destroyed by the development of major fuel stations all over the place.
Currently, there has been a proposal put forward to build a new major fuel station in a street where there have been two built within the last year. This new Service Station will mean that Noosa will have four major service stations less than a kilometre apart.
Noosa is becoming a corporate stronghold without consideration for the people that call Noosa home and if we as community do not stand together to stop our beautiful home from being destroyed the commercialisation of Noosa will continue without consequence for years to come.
I would like to bring your attention to a link for a petition that has been signed by over 190 Noosa Residents in the space of 7 days which aims to show Noosa Council that a third Service Station on Eumundi Noosa road is unnecessary.
I would also like to refer you to the Noosa Community Notice Board on Facebook that contains a post from the 19th of February regarding this Service Station and what Noosa thinks about the proposal as a community. A link to a news article about this post on the Community notice board has been provided below.
