4. Chemicals Used

Chemicals, particularly herbicides, are used sparingly and with care. Used herbicides
include:

• Aquatic registered Glyphosate: For general nonselective weed control.
• Aquatic-safe Herbicides: Specifically formulated for use on/near water bodies,
Aquatic registered Glyphosate and Diquat for Salvinia, Hyacinth, Water primrose and
Amazon Frogbit (Frogbit found in Noosa Springs in March 2024) to minimize
environmental impact. (Registered -APVMA approved Chemicals) All sprayer
operators/contractors are Licenced

5. Habitat Creation and Protection

Creating and protecting habitats involves:

• Building / Planting Structures: Installing features like bird nesting boxes, fish shelters,
and amphibian habitats.
• Buffer Zones: Establishing buffer zones around wetlands to protect them from runoff
and pollution.
