This assessment was commissioned by Peter Woods, Golf Course Superintendent of Noosa
Springs Golf Course. Consult Arborist Pty Ltd has been requested to carry out an independent
Visual Tree Assessment of trees in accessible amenity areas throughout the Golf Course
grounds.

The focus of the assessment is primarily on trees that may pose a health and safety concern
and trees which directly or indirectly pose a threat to players, staff, and guests or may
negatively impact buildings and infrastructure.

For each tree reported Consult Arborist will provide details on the following:

    •   Identification, attributes, health, and structural condition.
    •   Specifics will be noted, and a risk rating provided/priority of works.
    •   Recommendations for the management of the tree.

Findings are to be used to prioritise and carry out proactive tree maintenance works on the
grounds of health and safety, good arboricultural practice and to reduce infrastructure
damage.

2       S ITE I NSPECTION
Matthew Duncan, the Director and Principal Arborist of Consult Arborist undertook the Visual
Tree Assessment on the site from a ground level on Tuesday, 28 May 2024. Matthew holds
an AQF Level 5 Diploma of Arboriculture (AHC50510), an International Society of
Arboriculture’s Tree Risk Assessment Qualification, valid from 2015 to 2025, and has worked
in the arboricultural industry since 1994. Since its establishment in 2011, Consult Arborist has
been engaged to provide arboricultural advice and guidance on private, civil, and capital works
projects from cross-sector clients throughout Queensland where he is a Queensland
Arboricultural Association (QAA) Qualified Member and Approved Consultant.

It is recommended that a re-inspection of significant trees, where recorded, is carried out in
12 months or after a major weather event.
