  REASON(S) FOR INSPECTION: Inspect existing masonry wall at rear of site


      The following are observations and recommendations from the inspection of the existing masonry wall on the
      rear boundary of the site:

            1. The wall had been partially demolished at the sides, exposing the core which was unreinforced
               besides a bond beam at the top of the wall.
            2. The wall was about 4m high.
            3. There were several cracks within the wall.
            4. The wall had previously been braced at the top by the existing storage units which had been
               demolished at the time of inspection, leaving the wall unpropped.
            5. It is in our opinion that the wall is no longer structural adequate to supported itself and lateral loads
               from wind and earthquake loading.
            6. We recommend that the wall is demolished and replaced with a timber fence.
