Dear Sir,

TRAFFIC REPORT FOR SITE ACCESS
GATEWAY DRIVE, NOOSAVILLE.

Further to Noose Councils’ pre-lodgement advice dated 17 July 2014, please find the following additional
information as required.

Site Access Compliance

The proposed site layout indicating the location of the proposed access points can be seen in drawing
207-002-C03.01 attached to this letter.

1) Western boundary all movements’ access:

Provision of an all movements access at this location has been shown to meet the following sight
distance requirements as calculated using Austroads Guide to Road Design – Part 4A: Unsignalised and
Signalised Intersections;

             Sight Distance Cars (m) Trucks (m)
    Approach Sight Distance (ASD) 22 19
 Safe Intersection Sight Distance (SISD) 34 28
  Minimum Gap Sight Distance (MGSD) 42 42

The operating speed used for these calculations was 30km/h for cars and 20km/h for trucks given the
proximity to the nearby intersection and the tight radius of the preceding turn. Driver observation time
was set at 1.5s as per Austroads’ extended design domain Table A8 at Appendix A of Austroads Guide
to Road Design – Part 4A: Unsignalised and Signalised Intersections.

To ensure these sight distances are achieved it is requested that the existing yellow no standing line is
continued along the western frontage of the site. On the opposite side of this same access is it
requested that an additional yellow no standing line is provided to ensure the swept path of vehicles
turning into the site remains free from obstructions. The provision of these no parking areas is expected
to have no impact on nearby businesses as each provides their own off-street parking.

2) North-eastern boundary left in access:

This site access was originally proposed as a left-in left-out access and was considered generally
unacceptable in the pre-lodgement meeting. It has since been reduced to a left in only and therefore not
required to meet intersection sight distance requirements with the following supporting information;
