Issue
The submitted design certification does not make reference to the Noosa Plan – Watercourses Works Code or the Coastal Protection and Management Regulation 2017 – Code for assessable development that is prescribed tidal works
Information Required
Provide amended design certification that makes reference to the Noosa Plan – Watercourses Works Code and the relevant sections of the Coastal Protection and Management Regulation 2017 – Code for assessable development that is prescribed tidal works
Issue
Council has some concerns with the submitted design plans:
The plans indicate a “removable seat”. The purpose of the jetty is provide access to a jetty and not for the extension of private open space.
The plans indicate a “maximum water level of RL0.44m AHD”. The site is in a tidal area and no indication has been provided how the water level has been determined.
The plans do not indicate any lighting on the jetty. It may be necessary to include lighting to achieve compliance with the relevant codes.
Information Required
Provide amended plans that do not indicate the removable seat
Provide comment as to how the “maximum water level of RL0.44m AHD” has been determined and whether the tidal movements impact on this level
If required indicate on the plans any proposed lighting. Please note that any electrical reticulation system carrying electricity in excess of 24 volts beyond the revetment wall is not supported unless all switches and power outlets are positioned above the 1%AEP flood level
due date for response to information request
The due date for providing the requested information is 30 November 2019. Please advise Council of your response to this information request in accordance with section 13 of the Development Assessment Rules.
If you do not provide a response before the due date, it will be taken as if you have decided not to respond to the information request and Council will continue with the assessment of your application.
