Pad Footing Details

All pad footings must be founded to the depth nominated on the structural plans. Where this depth is not 300mm
into the NATURAL MEDIUM DENSE SILTY SAND they must be deepened down to this level.

Where unexcavatable rock is encountered at depths shallower than the recommended foundation level, this
foundation depth may be reduced providing a minimum concrete depth of 300mm is maintained and the pad is
founded entirely on un-weathered or un-disturbed rock. Starter bars for columns that are supported by the pad
footings shall be grouted 300 into the unexcavatable rock.
