Assessment Type Minor Change to Development Approval

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The application seeks approval for a minor change to a Development Permit for Material Change of
Use of Premises - Commercial Business Type 3 – Veterinary.

The applicant proposes to carry out renovations to the existing veterinary surgery, including
redesigning the internal layout and adding additional floor area for the surgery use (including a
consult room, x-ray room, office and laundry). The proposal also includes the addition of a lift, with
the bulk of the additions to the upper level of the building.

Whilst the building generally meets Planning Scheme requirements, it does not comply with onsite
carparking provisions. The proposed non-compliance is considered acceptable due to the provision
of an infrastructure agreement requiring a financial contribution in lieu of one car parking space.
