                        Existing Road Network
Table 2-1 outline the characteristics of the existing road network in close proximity to the proposed
            development site.

            Table 2-1 Key Road Characteristics

Road Hierarchy Speed Limit Typical Form
Hoy Road Local Rural Road 50km/h Two lanes, undivided
Lake MacDonald Drive Collector Road 80km/h Two lanes, undivided

                        Active Transport Network
Given the nature of the development location, the surrounding area is a rural environment where
facilities such as bicycle lanes and off-road paths are not common. As such, there are no formal active
            transport facilities surrounding the site.

                        Public Transport Network
There are no public transport facilities within a comfortable 400m walking radius of the site. Similar to
the active transport network, this is expected due to the nature of the site. It is expected that majority of
trips within the surrounding area and to the existing site are undertaken by private vehicles.

                        Future Network Planning
A review of the local government infrastructure plan (LGIP) outlined that the site is listed as part of a
regional infrastructure area in Noosa Shire Council local government infrastructure planning. As part of
the LGIP, there are expected upgrades to include pedestrian paths along Lake MacDonald Road
            between 2026 and 2031.

However, at a state level, no planned upgrades have been identified in the 2023-2024 to 2026-2027
Queensland Transport and Roads Investment Program (QTRIP).

                        Crash History
Crash data for the road network surrounding the development has been obtained from the TMR Open
Data Portal for the most recent 5 years (2019-2023), specifically for the Hoy Road and Lake
MacDonald frontages. The data shows no crashes occurred during this time period within close
            proximity to the proposed site.
