• Ensure works do not alter water flows into koala habitat.
• Revegetation works onsite to improve the habitat opportunities for native
fauna in areas where landfill operation is complete. Revegetation should
aim to recreate pre-clear RE’s mapped over the site including 12.5.3 and
adjacent 12.5.4 in appropriate pre-clear RE areas as these ecosystems
form suitable koala habitat.
• The establishment of a 1.02ha dedicated Koala Tree Offset planting for
Lot 77 which will nominate an offset area in comparable size to the koala
habitat to be cleared. The rehabilitation area is to be designed to improve
and or create vegetated Koala movement corridors and provides for the
3:1 offset of koala trees where 3 trees are planted for each one cleared.
Proposed revegetation areas within Lot 77 which are suitable for the
provision of 1.02ha of koala habitat are shown in Appendix E.
• Preparation and implementation of a Site Weed Management Plan which
includes weed management in areas of retained vegetation onsite and
landfill areas. Emphasis should be placed on undertaking weed control
works at the edge of the landfill and the retained buffer vegetation on Lot
77.
