1. Provide details of the function and intent of the recessed cut-out, and how pedestrian
safety and compliance with Council’s standard road-reserve requirements will be
achieved (or propose a non-standard treatment for assessment).
Issue – Retaining wall within Council Road reserve.
A retaining wall has been constructed within the road reserve that is not shown on the
submitted plans or included as part of the higher order approval (MCU19/0008.02).
The wall creates an exposed edge within the road reserve, presenting as a fall hazard and
potential liability for Council.
Information Required
2. Provide the rationale for this design change, with supporting documents or
correspondence.
3. Propose a suitable fall-prevention treatment to be installed prior to completion.
Issue – Stormwater Drainage
The stormwater drainage infrastructure observed on site is inconsistent with SCG’s
Stormwater Management Plan (32288-SW1.1) dated December ’22. Stormwater elements
(gully/grate extent, field pit location(s), and pipe alignment) appear to differ from the
submitted/approved plans.
Information Required
4. Provide a redline markup over the submitted plan showing the reduced grate extent, all
field pit locations, and the revised pipe route.
5. Submit photographs of the core hole into the existing SW MH, showing the sealing
method and benching reinstatement (if applicable)
