  Attention: Assessment Manager,

Shannon Webberley of 14 Arthur Court Cooroy QLD 4563.

I am in support of the proposed car wash for 34 Elm St Cooroy.

I am a small business owner and use my car for work. I travel many dusty roads in the Noosa shire and usually have to travel to Noosa to wash my car. I use a car wash as they have much better water pressure than that of my house hose, and are better for the environment
As we have had many dry months this year and many more for the future, a car wash will do good for people on tank water and if we do end up on water restrictions.
The less people washing their vehicles at home would reduce pollution to our waterways, including our local Lake Macdonald, which eventually makes its way to the beautiful Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef.
I like that this a locally owned and run family business and that they will care about our community and provide jobs for locals.
I am excited by the idea of a hub for young people and the recloaction of the bus stop and upgrade of facilities. Our youth(teens) have NOTHING in this town.
I support the location for the car wash being Elm street, as I feel it will be better utilised if it can be seen and easily accessed.
I cannot see any traffic problems being caused by the location of the car wash. It would be no different to trying to navigate entering or exiting one of the two service stations already on the same road.
I am happy with the green, clean and sustainability being offered in the development of the car wash, including the planting of the many native trees and shrubs going into the landscaping, and the many solar panels that will be used.

I do not support the car wash being in the industrial area,
I don't think it would be easily accessible for caravans and RV's.
The security of local businesses and workshops could be at risk of break in or property damage after hours due to it being out of town and out of view from the public. The car wash being on the main road offers better security for users and local businesses as it is very visibly to people driving by day and night.

I have only lived in Cooroy seven years but have been in the area 20 years. Myself, my family and friends have spoken about the need for a car wash in Cooroy for quite some time. We have also said that the Elm st location would be perfect. I am happy for the inclusion of the dog wash, with its warm water, as I also would normally take my dog to Noosa for a bath.
We have four vehicles in our household that would utilise this car wash. Our young adults have friends that would also utilise it. We also have dirt bikes and friends with dirt bikes that would utilise this car wash on their way home from local rides.

COOROY CAR WASH......IT'S A YES FROM ME!!!

Kind regards,
Shannon Webberley
