Community Project Grants
Traditionally, two funding rounds for Projects are run and budgeted for each financial year with
a total of $308,727.45 allocated to Community Project Grants in 2022-23.
This is the first of two rounds for the 2022-23 financial year, with $134,315.33 of expenditure
being recommended in this round.
Three Year Agreements
In addition, there is funding for three-year Agreements 2022-25. These grant programs include
$114,997.62 to Community Alliance, $23,120.27 to Emergency Services, $48,333.77 to Festive
Season and $68,706.49 to Signature Community Events.
Numbers in this report reflect the current proposed budget as of 7 June 2022. All decisions and
outcomes from this meeting assume there is no change to the budget that will be adopted on
the 30 June 2022.
Risks & Opportunities
Community groups have the opportunity to leverage Council grant funding from other external
grant sources.
All grants go through an acquittal process whereby the applicant reports on the funded project’s
delivery.

    Free information sessions and one on one meetings with potential applicants were held
     across the Shire for eligible not for profit community organisation to learn about the
     Council grants program
